Kristie’s Story | A Traverse City Newborn Story

When you find out you are expecting, a to-do list a mile long develops very quickly. From finding the right medical professional to choosing the perfect name, there are so many things to prepare for baby.  Capturing those first moments when baby comes home should be a top priority as well.  It may seem frivolous, but in a recent survey I conducted, 71% of moms I interviewed commented that they wished they had hired a professional photographer to capture those few days of baby’s life.

Kristie is a local mom who opened up on why finding a professional photographer was a top priority when she found out she was pregnant.  I would like to share her story with you:

When we got pregnant we knew right away we wanted to have a professional photographer come into our home.

First, we wanted something that our little boy could look back on when he is older. When we were growing up, our parents were always taking pictures or taking us to have pictures done (back when you went to JCPenney or Kmart to have your pics done) and it is always fun to look back on to see how much we changed over the years. We want our little guy to be able to look back and see how stinking cute he was as a baby.

“Our baby is truly a blessing to us and we want to show him off as much as we can.”

Second, it was a very long road and process for us to get pregnant. We had been trying for well over two years and the day before I was to begin fertility drugs, I found out I was pregnant! Our baby is truly a blessing to us and we want to show him off as much as we can. Pictures are one of the best ways to do that.

When we began looking into photographers, we knew right away what we wanted. We wanted simple, but beautiful pictures. A lot of the photographers that we looked at did nice work, but their pictures were to busy for us with all the props they used. We loved your pictures because they were so simple and beautiful. We truly love your work!
