Shaking the Dust Off

Almost one year ago I decided to return to photography as a profession as close to 100% as possible. I had put it to the side and juggled it with teaching the past three years (teaching is another passion of mine!). However, for various reasons, felt it was time to return to photography full-time.

I didn’t know what this would look like in the beginning but I was excited to be able to focus on it after the teaching year wound down. Then COVID hit, and like everyone, things had to change. I was unsure of what lie ahead. It seemed like a crazy time to pursue a creative business. But, you guys, it’s been amazing!

The arrival of COVID didn’t take away the need for families to spend time together, to create memories, to laugh and let loose. I had the privilege to come alongside these families to document this crazy time and I am oh-so thankful for each and every opportunity.

So the dust has been shaken off, and new pursuits have been made. My old blog was lost in the move of websites so this is the beginning of the new. I’m not a blogger, I don’t blog all of my sessions, but I do plan to share content you find valuable.

For now I’ll leave you with a few of my personal favorites from our family enjoying each other this summer.
